About Echlinville Distillery
For the fan of whiskey that wants a total experience, Echlinville Distillery is one to keep on your radar. In 2007, Shane and Lynn Braniff purchased the historic Echlinville Estate and Manor House and are using the surrounding farm and buildings to build an amazing farm-to-glass distillery experience. As of 2022, construction continues on an experience that will start with the growing of the barley, include on-site maltings, take you through the distilling process and into a whiskey maturation warehouse, and end with a tasting. And what a tasting it should be.
For those who have tasted Dunville’s long-aged Irish whiskeys, this is a sample of what Echlinville is looking to achieve when its own spirits come of age. And since this distillery is family owned, they have the patience to wait for their spirits to mature. In fact, most people don’t realize that Echlinville was actually one of the first of the new breed of distilleries back when Teeling and Dingle were getting underway. Echlinville expects their first whiskey to be over ten years old upon its release.
