About Dublin Liberties Distillery
Are you someone who embraces the grittier side of history? The Dublin Liberties Distillery has just what you are looking for. Built in a 400-year-old mill and tannery, this building lived through the historic whiskey boom of the 19th century, and also survived the Great Dublin Fire of 1875 when streams of burning whiskey flowed through the streets of the area of Dublin known as the Liberties.
This tour is rich with stories that will light up your imagination. Your guide will introduce you to the working class of the past, their tenements, stories, and legends. And while you listen, enjoy a sample of a unique honeycomb liqueur and the distillery’s flagship whiskey, The Dubliner. Next, you will learn their production methods and how they got their magnificent stills inside the building. You will finish with a guided tasting of a single malt and blend in their world-class bar.
As seen in "Experiencing Irish Whiskey."
