Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery
About Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery
Bringing distilling back to Chattanooga was no easy task. Laws needed to be changed at the state level. It had been over 100 years since a legal distillery operated in the city. Chattanooga Whiskey first launched with a sourced spirit to build their funds while waiting for the law to open up for them to build a distillery. Once this happened, they began producing their flagship High Malt Bourbon. This unique presentation of an American classic was only the beginning. Under Tim Piersant's guidance, the Experimental distillery continues to innovate and push the limits of what Bourbon is.
During your tour, you will get a sense of this unique distillery's purpose. Then you'll be taken to the cellar where they have around 100 barrels of experimental whiskey aging. The tour completes with a flight of their latest whiskies. Reservations are encouraged. You can find experimental batches of whiskey in the shop to purchase.
